W. Bro. Michael Shaw Appointed Assistant Provincial Grand Master - A Historic First for Our Lodge
The members of Lodge of Fraternity No. 1418, Stockton-on-Tees, are delighted and immensely proud to celebrate the appointment of our esteemed brother, W. Bro. Michael Shaw, as an Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham in June 2025.
This prestigious appointment is a truly historic moment for our lodge, as W. Bro. Shaw becomes the first member of Lodge of Fraternity 1418 ever to be elevated to this high Provincial rank. His achievement reflects not only personal dedication and merit, but also brings great honour and inspiration to our entire lodge.
With over 40 years of service to Freemasonry, W. Bro. Shaw has held numerous roles both within the lodge and across the Province, consistently demonstrating leadership, dignity, and a deep commitment to the Craft. His steady presence at ceremonies, provincial meetings, and official visits has earned him great respect throughout Durham Freemasonry.
Over the years, Michael has proudly represented our lodge at many important occasions, always exemplifying the values of brotherhood, charity and integrity. His appointment as Assistant Provincial Grand Master stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment and the esteem in which he is held by the Province.
As a lodge, we could not be more delighted to see one of our own recognised at this level. His promotion is not only a personal honour, but a proud milestone for Lodge of Fraternity 1418.
