The Harte of the Province

Project

The March meeting for the companions of Harte Chapter, who meet at Raby Road in Hartlepool, wasn’t the usual Convocation business that they’re accustomed to.  Most Excellent Zerubbabel, Michael Swinbourne and his 2 co-principals had the pleasure of welcoming the Deputy Grand Superintendent, Michael Shaw, and a deputation of Provincial officers as well as a number of other Companions visiting.  Team visits are one of the highlights for those who are selected for acting provincial rank where they will get the opportunity to go with the team and visit various chapters around the province.

The members of Harte Chapter performed an exaltation demonstration for the Provincial team and the chapter visitors, showing how they do things up in Hartlepool.  After the ceremony concluded, in the risings Michael Swinbourne, on behalf of the companions of Harte Chapter, presented Michael Shaw with a cheque for £250 towards the Durham Freemasons Charity.  The provincial team and visitors were well looked after at the festive board and some companions were lucky enough to take home a raffle prize when the evening concluded.

The March meeting of Harte Chapter was more than just an exaltation demonstration—it was a powerful celebration of ritual excellence, fraternal pride, and charitable spirit. With the warm welcome of Provincial officers, heartfelt giving to the Durham Freemasons Charity, and strong companionship shared at the festive board, it was a true reflection of how Masonry thrives in Hartlepool.
